Summary

U.S. States (Generalized) represents the 50 states and the District of Columbia of the United States.

Description

The polygons represent the states within the United States. States and Equivalent Entities are the primary governmental divisions of the United States. In addition to the 50 states, the Census Bureau treats the District of Columbia as the statistical equivalent of a state for the purpose of data presentation.
