U.S. National Atlas Public Land Survey represents the Public Land Surveys (for example, donation lands, land grants, and public and private surveys of public lands) of the United States.
Description
The polygons represent the Public Land Survey which is a rectangular system of surveys devised to subdivide public domain lands within United States; in addition are donation land claims, Indian lands, land grants, civil colonies, military reservations, overlapping land grants, private surveys, unsurveyed areas, and areas not part of the Public Land Survey System within United States.
